The Current by Jared Rivet
Deputy Carly Jenson became a cop to make a difference, do some good in the world, do something that counted. She didn’t join the force to sit behind a desk for a year only to be given the most insipid field assignment imaginable. But she once got in over her head, messed up big time, and now here she is, stuck on a fishing boat at nightfall, bored out of her mind as divers troll the bottom of a dying lake for evidence of a bizarre small-town crime. Whatever the outcome, Carly’s not winning any commendations. Until the divers report in, that is. They found something at the bottom of the lake. Something that shouldn’t be there. Something they can’t explain. Something that will turn Carly Jenson’s boring night into a horrifying night of chaos and sheer terror.

Tracy grew up in a small town in New Hampshire that no one has ever heard of, and now she lives in Los Angeles, which everyone has heard of. She’s been acting professionally since the age of eight, and she especially loves acting in horror, even though she literally cannot make it through watching all of Gremlins 2. When she’s not screaming into a microphone for Earbud Theater’s podplays, you can find her writing and starring in her own film projects, hiking, or sitting in her car, stuck in traffic.
